Trading Strengths and Challenges

Trading Strengths

[As a Facilitative Trader]

• You bring energy, creativity and a willingness to explore new ideas to system development and trading.

• You are willing to pull the trigger on trades, even with new systems and concepts.

• You can rapidly develop low-risk trading ideas to test, from just a few trades.

[As an Independent Trader]

• You can quickly determine if a new style of trading or system will fit well with your personality.

• You can rapidly evaluate when something is working for you.

• You like the challenge of sorting out market conditions and the intellectual stimulation of developing and planning low-risk trading ideas.

Trading Challenges

[As a Facilitative Trader]

• May have a need for external confirmation of your ideas, systems and beliefs to the detriment of developing your own system.

• You’re always coming up with new ideas that you want to apply to trading systems that are already working and can subsequently screw things up.

• Good trading tends to be boring, but you have a need for external excitement. It is imperative that you have an outlet for this excitement; otherwise, you will bring it into your trading.

[As an Independent Trader]

• Your trading could dominate your time and you could become socially isolated, which in turn could upset others, particularly if you have a spouse.

• You may reject or abandon workable systems if the logic isn’t clear because you don’t understand the systems boundaries ahead of time.

• You are a human being not an android, and you do have emotions. You just don’t pay much attention to them.
